When you’re a kid, birthdays can be the social event of the year.

All your friends are there, you get cake, presents and games — it’s a moment!

However, they can be quite stressful for parents to plan. Where to go? What to do?

Well, Prince George has a few excellent options where you can easily throw together a memorable birthday party for your little tyke.

Today (Jan. 24), we thought we’d highlight a few.

An Exploration Place Birthday Party

Prince George’s one and only Museum and Science Centre also offers birthdays.

Packages include a decorated private party room, an Exploration Place "Trained Brain" to facilitate the party with 20 minutes of hands-on interactive science activities.

It also includes admission to The Exploration Place exhibits and galleries for the birthday kid and guests. You can also access The Exploration Place's kitchen (located on the main floor).

When the party is over, each child also gets a free return pass to the museum.

You can party at the South Fort George Family Resource Centre

The Family Resource Centre is a great option because it’s affordable and you not only get full use of the gym space but you have access to all of the toys and equipment.

They also have 50 chairs and 15 long tables available for use.

Just bring some decorations, food, a cake and let the kids take over!

The Prince George Roll-A-Dome is a great spot for a birthday because it’s so versatile.

With your private birthday party rental, the arena is all yours to enjoy. Skates, scooters, skateboards, and small bikes are welcomed, you can also get creative with the floor, nerf guns, floor hockey or obstacle races.

You can bring your own food or the concession offers a pop, chip and hot dog combo for $3.50 per person, (pre-ordering is recommended). There’s also a small snack bar with ice cream and floats that kids love!

Splash around for a pool birthday party

Everyone’s been to at least one birthday party at the pool! That’s because swimming is so much fun and is a great way for the kids to burn off a ton of energy.

Both the Prince George Aquatic Centre and the Four Seasons Leisure book Aquatic Adventure birthday party for children three to 12 years old.

It includes 12 child admissions, unlimited swim time before and after the party, half-an-hour of in-water games with trained aquatic "Fun Leaders", and two-and-a-half-hours in a party room for cake and gifts.

Supervising adults also swim free! But, if you’ve got kids under six years old, you’ll have to make sure you have three children per adult in the pool.
