One of the most beloved dishes of all time is arguably pizza.

Almost everyone loves a slice and there’s not much more satisfying food-wise than finding your favourite pizza spot.

Prince George has a bunch of great local options, so we’ve picked five of them that we think you should definitely check out.

Tabor 2-for-1

There’s really not much to say other than Tabor 2-for-1 has great pizza. This is a locally owned and operated pizza joint that’s been serving the community since 1987. You may hear Tabor 2 for 1 referred to as the “best pizza in town” while preferences are definitely subjective, there’s a reason for all the chatter. Try the Tabor Special, Taco pizza, or an old fashioned Hawaiian or pepperoni.

Where can I get it: 100 Tabor Blvd.

Daddy O’s Pizza and Ribs

Another local joint not to be missed is Daddy O’s Pizza and Ribs which has been serving up the ‘za for over 17 years. It’s locally owned, handcrafted pizza with all natural ingredients. The reviews for this place also speak for themselves – it’s got the stars. You can choose your size and add toppings to create your favorite kind of pizza or pick one of the Daddy O’s specials like the “Loved By All”, “hula Hawaiian” or “the Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot.”

Where can I get it: 1636 Central St. E.

Butella Burning

If you want pizza that tastes just like it’s made in wood-burning oven in Naples but with local flair, you definitely want to check out Betulla Burning. While the menu changes seasonally you can try pizzas like the prosciutto, spiced chicken and salami, pistachio mortadella and the truffle mushroom. The restaurant also has a wonderful atmosphere, and a great patio. Fun Fact: betulla is the Italian word for birch.

Where can I get it: 1253 3 Ave.

CrossRoads Brewing and Distillery

If you can’t get enough Italian wood-fired pizza CrossRoads Brewing and Distillery has got your back. If CrossRoads' first love is beer, it’s second love is undoubtedly pizza. CrossRoads has an Italian wood fired oven where chefs make pizzas like the Birch and Boar, The Popper, The Wild, Big Sur and Fun-Guy. This is another pizza joint with a great patio and you may even be able to find a mini-curing rink out there in the winter.

Where can I get it: 508 George St.

MunCheeze Hot Stone Pizza and Wings

The newest addition to town is MunCheeze Hot Stone Pizza and Wings. MunCheeze pizzas are cooked in stone based ovens and the menu is quite varied. You can get a shawarma, margerita, bruschetta, or taco pizza or choose your own crust thickness and toppings. MunCheeze also does about six different family combos.

Where can I get it: 1645 15 Ave.
