Escapee sentenced to six months in jail

The Prince George Regional Correctional Centre inmate who escaped from a work crew last week has been sentenced to six months in jail. Randy Ray Henricks, 38, was issued the term Monday in Prince George provincial court.

The Prince George Regional Correctional Centre inmate who escaped from a work crew last week has been sentenced to six months in jail.

Randy Ray Henricks, 38, was issued the term Monday in Prince George provincial court.

Henricks was working in the area of Fourth Avenue near Toronto Street when he fled on foot late Friday morning. He was found at a Prince George home at about 9 p.m. the same day and arrested without incident.

On Oct. 15, Henricks, who is from Saskatchewan, was sentenced to four months in jail and two years probation for dangerous driving and flight from a peace officer. He was also issued a two-year driving prohibition for the incident which occurred two days before.
