The Prince George Cougars are launching the first in a series of hockey camps that will be held on public school professional development days.
The inaugural Pro-D Day Hockey School will be held on Sept. 25 at the Kin 2 Arena.
“During these challenging times, we as an organization felt it was important to offer our
support to the local and regional minor hockey community,” Cougars GM and head coach Mark Lamb said in a press release. “I’m proud that our coaching staff is taking up a leadership role in helping develop our local minor hockey players. We are excited to provide ice sessions not only tailored to the elite level player but also those recreational level players who are looking for a great experience.”
A variety of sessions will be held over the day for elite-level minor hockey players (ages nine to 12) and for recreational-level players.
The sessions will be taught by Lamb and associate coach Jason Smith, goaltending coach Taylor Dakers and development coach Steve O'Rourke.
