The Spruce Kings continue to bolster their line-up in anticipation of a bounce-back year.

This time, they scouted the American east coast to find Connor Tait, a consistent offensive player who’s agreed to sign with Prince George for the 2020-21 season.

The 19-year-old posted 34 points in 35 games last year with the New Jersey Hitmen of the National Collegiate Development Conference, including 17 goals and 17 assists.

He’s also committed to Quinnipiac University, who boasts one of the United States’ top hockey programs at the NCAA Division One level.

“He is a big, strong, and intelligent player with a great work ethic that plays hard at both ends of the rink,” says Spruce Kings’ Head Coach Alex Evin in a team release as Tait will strut into the Kings’ castle at six-foot-one, 198 pounds.

“Connor has proven to contribute offensively over the past few years and we hope he can add to our offense next season.”

Tait is originally from the state of Maryland, but has played with New Jersey for the last three years, recording 85 points in 115 games.

He was also a 12th round pick of the Kitchener Rangers, 232nd overall, in the 2017 OHL Priority selection draft.
