B.C. high-school hockey standout signs with Prince George Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings announced a second committed player in two days for the upcoming 2020-21 season yesterday (April 8).

Max Borovinskiy signed to play for Prince George after finishing his year with the Burnaby Winter Club (BWC) and turns 16 years old in under two months

The Prince George Spruce Kings are thrilled to announce the commitment of forward Max Borovinskiy (’04) for the 2020-21 season.

“Max exemplifies the quality of player and person that our program values on and off the ice” says Head Coach Alex Evin about his new recruit.

“He has the ability to play fast and physical and his ice awareness will allow him to be an elite contributor at the Jr A level one day.”

Borovinskiy’s 34 games in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) consisted of 26 points, including 12 goals and 14 assists.

Coach Evin credits BWC for developing the West Vancouver product’s skills and character.

“Max comes from a program that promotes a team culture that aligns with our core values which will make for an easy transition into our organization.”

Borovinskiy and his BWC Academy teammates finished second during the 2019-20 CSSHL midget prep regular-season with a record of 27-7-0-2.
