Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for a suspect in a alleged child-luring attempt.
Police received a report Friday morning of man in a small red and blue car approaching a girl near the corner of Loyola Drive and Gladstone Place, in the vicinity of Malaspina Elementary School in College Heights.
Not recognizing the driver, the girl ran straight to school and reported the encounter, RCMP said.
"The young victim had the right instincts in running straight to a trusted adult and reporting this incident," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper added in a statement.
Police are asking anyone who may have surveillance or dash cam video from the area between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. that morning to contact RCMP at 250-561-3300.
