The City of Prince George and BC Transit will be offering free bus fare on Wednesday, for national Clean Air Day.
Clean Air Day was first proclaimed by the federal government in 1999 as part of Environment Week.
“The aim is to raise awareness about air quality and climate change, and to inspire people to decrease their individual greenhouse gas emissions,” a statement issued by BC Transit said. “An easy way to do this is to encourage everyone to choose sustainable transportation alternatives - such as walking, biking or taking the bus.”
