The man accused of breaking into an Oak Street home and stabbing and beating two women remains behind bars for the time being after twice appearing in court last week.

Chad Douglas Berry, who faces 17 charges, is next scheduled to appear in Prince George provincial court on March 31 for a bail hearing.

He was apprehended in Vanderhoof on March 12, a day after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The two women were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released from hospital, police said.
