There was no podium finish Saturday for Meryeta O'Dine of Prince George in her World Cup return to Feldberg, Germany, but it turned out a day to celebrate for the Canadian snowboard cross team.
Zoe Bergermann of Erin, Ont., won the silver medal in the women's individual event - her first career World Cup individual medal.
Michela Moioli of Italy won gold and Julia Pereira de Sousa Mabileau of France finished third. Kevin Hill of Vernon just missed the podium, finishing fourth as the top Canadian male.
O'Dine, who won bronze a year ago at Feldberg finished 14th.
In other Canadian results Saturday, Carle Brennaman was 11th, Tess Critchlow of Kelowna was 12th, Audrey Shieh of Georgetown, Ont, was 26th, Haili Moyer of Whistler was 27th and Katie Anderson of Jaffray was 28th.
In men's results, Baptiste Brochu of Saguenay, Que., was 11th, Christopher Robanske of Calgary was 26th, Eliot Grondin of Ste-Marie, Que., was 35th and Liam Moffatt of Truro, N.S. was 39th.
The Canadians will compete Sunday in the team event in Feldberg, then will travel to Pyongchang, South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Snowboard cross will be featured at the Games, Thursday, Feb. 15 (men) and Friday, Feb. 16 (women).
