B.C. RCMP asking for immediate help finding missing Quesnel man, vehicles of interest

Police say Louis Korkowski’s disappearance is suspicious in nature

A 33-year-old man has not been seen since early this week and regional police are asking for the public’s immediate help to find him.

The disappearance of Quesnel’s Louis Korkowski is being deemed as suspicious by North District RCMP as he was last seen in the city’s west side on Monday (May 4) at 6 p.m.

Mounties say two vehicles have also become of interest with Korkowski’s absence from friends and family, who are all concerned of his well-being.

North District Major Crimes Unit is hoping to find a 2003 Ford Explorer and a 2007 Toyota Matrix and calculate their movements in the last 24 hours.

Both vehicles were last seen near Sylvia’s Café in Quesnel (5600-block, Nazko Hwy.) around 9 p.m. on Monday.

“We are asking anyone who may have information about Louis or the vehicles since May 4, 2020 at 7 p.m., to immediately contact the Quesnel RCMP Detachment," states B.C. RCMP spokesperson S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet.

“The Explorer and Matrix were last known to bearing BC licence plates, KF087R and KA111X, respectively, however we recognise these plates may have been changed or altered, so we are asking the public to concentrate on the vehicle descriptions and photo, rather than the plates”

Korkowski is described as:

  • 5’4”
  • 110 pounds
  • Black short hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing…
    • Black track pants with a white stripe
    • Blue-coloured jacket
    • Black Mulisha sweater

The 2003 Ford Explorer is described as:

  • Green in colour
  • BC license plate KF087R
  • Dent in the passenger door
  • Roof rack
  • Black tinted windows

  • Chrome body trim

The 2007 Toyota Matrix is described as:

  • Grey
