There's already plenty of stress that comes with the holidays so to alleviate some of it the local Alzheimer Society is hosting a workshop called Celebrating the Holidays next Monday from 10 a.m. to noon.
"This workshop is for people who are caregivers for those with dementia," said Leanne Jones, support and education coordinator for the Alzheimer Society of BC, Northern Interior Resource Centre, Prince George / Skeena. "We want to talk about adapting traditions that are family favourites so they are more dementia-friendly and to include the person who has dementia in the celebrations as much as possible."
Pre-registration is required. The workshop takes place at the Alzheimer Society Resource Centre, 575 Quebec St., and entry is by donation.
