The beer will start flowing at the second annual Kiwanis Alefest Jan. 29 and Jan. 30 at the Two Rivers Gallery.
The craft beer festival has already expanded an extra day to meet ticket demand from last year and since tickets sold out during the first week of sales this year, it looks like it could be expanded for 2017, said Eric Ball of the Kiwanis Alefest.
"We chose the Two Rivers Gallery as the venue because it provides a cultural approach to the Alefest," said Ball.
"You can sample beer, and there's artwork there as well, we have tapas from local restaurants and the gallery space covers two floors and that makes it a really unique experience. We have two Coldsnap Festival entertainers who will perform during each session so that gives people an opportunity to enjoy some music that will be heard throughout the building."
There's craft beer from about 15 different breweries across the province including the local Pacific Western Brewing Company's Scandal Brewing, Barkerville Brewing and Three Ranges Brewing.
"People are looking for an alternative to the big-batch breweries," said Ball.
The appeal is to explore a good tasting craft beer, which has become very popular recently, he added.
"This is a major fundraiser for Kiwanis Prince George," said Ball.
"We sponsor a room at Ronald McDonald House B.C. for those families and children from the north that have to go down to the BC Children's Hospital for care along with other projects here in Prince George."
