The 2015 Canada Winter Games has been named a finalist in three categories of the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance annual awards, including the event of the year.
The two other finalists in that category are the 2015 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships and the 103rd Grey Cup Festival.
2015 CWG chair Anthony Everett was named a finalist for the volunteer of the year award. He's going up against Brian Kosteroski, 2015 ISF World Men's Softball Championships and Jay Nash, Nash Cup International Squash Tournament.
And the Games are a finalist in the sustainable sport event of the year along with 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games.
The winners will be announced March 7 in Ottawa.
