About Prince George Conservatory of Music

We offer private lessons in flute, guitar, harp, piano, saxophone, theory, violin, viola and voice. Learn more about private lessons at the PG Conservatory of Music.

We offer private and group instruction in a wide variety of instruments and styles for beginners to professionals. Here's what sets us apart:

We are a non-profit music school and registered charity

  • Tuition goes directly to your teacher and back into the Conservatory to support our programs
  • We work hard to keep tuition as low as possible while also making it possible for our amazing teaching team to thrive as professional musicians in Northern BC
  • We work hard to raise funds for bursaries to make it possible for students from all financial backgrounds to participate in music lessons and offer a yearly scholarship competition for our most serious students
  • We give back to our community with free and pay-what-you-can concerts by our professional faculty

Our teachers are highly qualified

  • Our teachers are professional performing musicians with a minimum of a Bachelor of Music degree (or equivalent) with over 200 years of teaching experience collectively
  • They are masters of their instruments and dedicated teachers who are passionate about seeing their students succeed
  • They are integral to the PG music community including the PG Symphony Orchestra, PG Cantata Singers and Alban Classical

We are a lot of fun!

  • Recitals and social events provide kids and adult students the opportunity to make friends and support one another
  • Although we love classical music we are happy to support students in the genres that they are most passionate about
