Prince George high jumper Alyx Treasure continues to set the bar on the international track and field scene.
The 26-year-old Treasure won a Golden Spike event Saturday in Leiden, Netherlands, clearing 1.86 metres. She made that height on her second attempt and went on to try 1.90m but was unsuccessful.
Treasure has kept herself busy in June, competing in three international meets in the Netherlands. On Wednesday she placed fourth (1.87m) at the Klaverblad meet in Zoetermeer and she was fourth (1.85m) on June 3 at the FBK Games in Hengelo.
Her best so far this spring in outdoor meets was at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, where Treasure just missed the medal podium, clearing 1.91m to finish fourth.
The 2016 Olympian was fourth April 27 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa (1.85m) and placed sixth (1.85m) at the IAAF Diamond League meet in Shanghai, China, May 12.
