Paciejewski, Scotland will face Ireland

Canada-U.S. playing for gold at FIL world field lacrosse championship
It's Ireland versus Scotland - for field lacrosse bragging rights.
That's not the matchup Cole Paciejewski of Prince George was hoping for Thursday when he took to the field wearing the colours for Scotland in their playoff game against the Philippines.
Paciejewski did what he could to keep his team in the game, scoring two goals and adding an assist, but it wasn't enough to put Scotland over the top and guarantee a top-10 finish at the 46-team FIL world field lacrosse championship in Netanya, Israel.
Scotland (0-7) lost 12-6 to the Philippines (5-1) and will play Ireland (4-3) for 11th place on Friday, while the Philippines will face Germany (5-1) in the ninth-place playoff.
The 24-year-old Paciejewski, who plays in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association for the RPR Mechanical/JR Construction Bandits, has played all seven games on offence for Scotland and has four goals and two assists. He finished second in the PGSLA scoring race with 55 goals and 97 points in 10 games.
Canada will play the United States for gold on Saturday - the 13th time the two teams have met in the final. This is the 13th FIL world championship tournament. Canada defeated Iroquois Nationals 15-4 Thursday in a semifinal. Mark Cockerton scored four goals for the Canadians while Curtis Dickson and Ben McIntosh each had three-goal efforts.
In the other semifinal, the U.S. beat Australia 14-5. Australia and Iroquois will play for bronze on Friday.
