Snowboardcrosser Meryeta O'Dine is back in the world's top 10.
The 19-year-old from Prince George finished eighth Saturday as the top Canadian at the World Cup Toyota U.S. Grand Prix Tour event in Solitude, Utah.
Eva Samkova of the Czech Republic won the title, with Michela Moioli of Italy second. Lindsey Jacobellis, the 2006 Olympic silver medalist, captured bronze. The women's event drew 28 competitors.
O'Dine was 13th after qualifying and finished fifth out of eight in the semifinal.
In the small final, O'Dine ended up second behind Rosina Mancari of Steamboat Springs, Colo. The 22-year-old Mancari, who raced four Nor-Am events in Prince George last year at Tabor Mountain, placed seventh overall.
At 19, O'Dine was the youngest of all the top-10 finishers Saturday.
Other Canadian results were as follows: 11. Tess Cristchow, Kelowna; 12. Zoe Bergermann, Erin, Ont.; 21. Carle Brenneman, Vancouver; 22 Kate Anderson, Calgary.
In the men's race, Evan Bichon of Prince George, 18, placed 59th out of 68 entrants.
Alessandro Haemmerle of Austria won gold. Omar Visintin of Italy and Alex Deibold of the U.S. were second and third respectively. Baptiste Brochu of Quebec won the men's small final to finish seventh overall, while Tyler Jackson of Whitby, Ont., was 12th.
O'Dine, the 2015-16 Nor-Am series champion, posted a career-best sixth-place World Cup finish last February in Bokwang, South Korea. She was 16th in December 2015 in Montafon, Austria. O'Dine returned to Montafon this season on Dec. 16, where she finished 24th.
O'Dine helped Canada finish fifth in the team event Sunday at Solitude.
