Fahoo fores, dahoo dores, welcome Christmas, bring your cheer, welcome all Whos far and near.

It's that time of the season when our hearts turn to the holidays, the giving of gifts, the gladding of tidings, and the singing of songs full of joy and nonsense. Fahoo fores, dahoo dores, Christmas day is in our grasp, so long as we have hands to clasp.

And so long as we have Nove Voce performing their annual rendition of the Dr. Seuss classic story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas from all the Whos in Whoville.

This acclaimed local choir makes this an annual production and it happens Saturday.

"Richard Bjarnason will be joining Nove Voce to read the original story as the choir performs songs from the cartoon and movie," said choir director Robin Norman. "We have some wonderfully awful Grinchy costumes by Pat Jorgensen, great music based on Dr. Seuss and even our own dog Max."

The words will be read from the book, the songs will be sung from the songbook, and there will also be some of those classic characters come to life as the choir performs modern Dr. Seuss classics like You're a Mean One Mister Grinch, Where Are You Christmas and Welcome Christmas.

"Zarrah Holvick is back as our incomparable Grinch, Susie MacRae and Courtney Hayhurst are our fabulous Cindy Lou Whos and no show would be complete without Hailey Smith as our dog Max," said Norman. "The show runs for 30 minutes so it is perfect for Whos of every age. Be ready to sit on the floor with your favourite Who family and start your Christmas season this Saturday."

Nove Voce will do four performances of this show Saturday, one at 10 a.m., next at 11 a.m., then 1:30 p.m. and finally at 2:30 p.m. All are held upstairs at the Civic Centre (Room 208).

Tickets are $5 available at the door while supplies last.

"These shows regularly sell out so please arrive in time to get your spot," Norman said. "Arrive early to avoid disappointment. This promises to be a delightful Christmas activity for all Whos young and old."
