City firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire at 3251 Christensen Road on Friday night.
Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the call at about 10 p.m. with 15 firefighters from three halls and found heavy smoke coming from the residence. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally in the basement at the back of the house
According to Asst. Chief Greg Wilkins, the flames were extinguished quickly and crews remained on the scene for about two hours checking for hot spots. There were no injuries.
Cause of the blaze is under investigation. The extent of the damage and dollar value of the fire was not released.
