Quesnel firefighters quickly dealt with a flareup on Sunday, June 22 outside a mill that caught fire in the community south of Prince George.
The fire, which broke out at about 10 p.m. at the East Fraser Fibre mill, forced the closure of Highway 97 overnight.
Detours were in effect near Finning Road as Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department crews worked to extinguish the flames.
The highway reopened early Sunday morning.
