Classic cars, live music and charity highlight weekend car show in Quesnel

Prospectors Car Club hosted annual Steak Out and Show and Shine

Classic cars, chrome and community spirit took over downtown Quesnel this past weekend as the Prospectors Car Club hosted its annual Steak Out and Show and Shine from Aug. 15 to 17.

The three-day event began Friday with a scenic cruise to Wells, followed by a mini car show and a meet and greet barbecue at Spirit Square. The evening featured live music and gave car enthusiasts a chance to connect ahead of the weekend’s festivities.

On Saturday, participants took part in a Poker Run, with a Steak Out dinner and a silent auction wrapping up the day.

The weekend concluded Sunday with the main Show and Shine on Reid Street in downtown Quesnel. The event included a Pin-Up Contest, live music and a dunk tank that helped raise funds for the Nourish Food Bank.

The event was open to the public and drew visitors from across the region.
