Go to cash creek then.
I think it’s great and by the time I get around to looking at all the cars, I have had my fill.
I think it’s a great event and I am thankful for everyone that participates and makes it possible

Part of the reason were in this boat imo, is because all the safety nets in place, have made it possible for those inclined to survive off handouts, while doing nothing for themselves or society.
A universal income is an interesting idea, but perhaps it should be reserved for people trying to make it in society. Like low income working people.

I cannot understand the choices being made downtown. They keep building services for the homeless, while simultaneously developing the down town. Why don’t you try mixing oil and water together while you’re at it?
Moccasin flats, is for people who do not want to abide by any structure or rules and want to live lawless and free from the constraints of society. So why then, is society on the hook to support these people?
Why are we acting as if the majority of these people are capable of making the decisions necessary to clean their lives up? We listen to these homeless advocate’s drone on about the plight of the mentally ill and the drug addled. And then we pretend letting these people live outside like animals, where they get shot, beaten, are exposed to the elements and are frankly a blight on our town, is somehow the humane thing to do.
Make the choice to institutionalize and rehabilitate and banish the unwilling from society. Thats what the natives would do.

Speaking of fear mongering…. I believe near 90% of Canadians got multiple covid vaccine's, so are you implying 90% of Canadians now have autism? Or will our offspring have autism?
And for the record, most Canadians got vaccinated, not for fear of their own health, because they believed it was the right thing to do, based on the information available.
Could be more people are diagnosed with autism today, because the criteria have broadened to encompass a much wider spectrum? Was autism on the rise pre covid?
Vaccines have saved possibly billions of people and eradicated diseases entirely. It’s estimated that disease moved inland faster than settlers and may have wiped out up to 90% of indigenous people, pre contact.

Well, you’re probably not wrong. To my knowledge, there are only a few places resisting polio vaccination today and now it’s rebounding after being on the brink of eradication, even in the west where it was all but eliminated.
I do believe immigrants could be scrutinized a little more, for public safety sake. It would only be prudent to do so

Wow! $35,360 in damages? Must have been one heck of a fence.

While I have not worked in health care myself, I know a fair few people that have and many share my experience.
Your right though, only the unions I have worked in foster laziness and entitlement, while healthcare unions are the surely the paragon of what union employment should look like.
I can never take anyone seriously, who thinks anything is beyond reproach. It feels dishonest, because improvement is always possible.

Anyone that defends unions unequivocally, is clearly bias and likely exploiting unions themselves.
While unions have merit and started with good intent, they have since run a fowl. Anyone that spends any length of time working in them, can clearly see that, if they are honest about it.
Unions foster a work environment, that penalizes those of us who come to do our job professionally, while rewarding lazy entitled workers. And I say that as someone who has worked in four unions.
People should be allowed to work in a healthy safe manner and be compensated appropriately for that, but companies should be able to remove employees for dereliction of duty, without having to resort to long drawn out litigation.

Unions protect bad workers all the time, for the most outlandish reasons. Like stealing thousands of dollars of company property.
