Starting a fight over a dumb old man's game shows that some people have very little in their pitiful lives. Ban them from playing golf anywhere in BC for life.

She tried to sue the CNR who doesn't even have tracks through Barnet Marine Park, why not Skytrain too? Using drugs and/or alcohol while walking an unleashed dog on railway tracks is never a good thing to do. My feelings are that she will be the recipient of a Darwin award before she ever sees any financial settlements.

If you like to live, don't take drugs or drink alcohol while hanging around railway tracks. Even better, don't hang around railway tracks, the only people who should be there are employees of the railway company.

If I were the judge, the drunk would get ten years in jail, and after that deportation back to India and be banned from returning to Canada for life.

This being Canada with the softest penalties in the world for violent crime, this monster, Everton Javaun Downey, will probably be sentenced to time served.

All ethnic groups should be treated equally before the law, no group should get special "rights" because they had ancestors that were here when the Europeans settled Canada. Why should a member of the Haida tribe have more rights than a member of the Ilocano tribe in Canada, just because the Haida happened to be born on Graham Island and the Ilocano on Luzon Island? They look very similar and might have similar ancestry. I thought this was a just and equitable nation where all people were treated the same whether they be white, black, brown, or yellow?

It's interesting to hear that school boards and councils were just as petty 96 years ago, the only differences are what they are being petty about. Today, instead of saying that the girls were showing too much skin, the school board would be whining that the girls were appropriating Hawaiian culture and that the boys should be allowed to play dress up too.

We have elected city if they have any degrees have them in flaky subjects such as sociology. These scientifically illiterate people are making decisions about energy policy based on whatever the latest scare the UN and Trudeau's government has put out about "global warming". The fact is, electric heating and electric cars are great if you have the electrical infrastructure to handle the extra load but we don't. We also don't have the extra generating capacity. These scientific illiterates think that all it takes is to add more wires to the lines and it will magically take care of itself. Natural gas is the least polluting fuel next to pure hydrogen and Canada has it in great abundance. The mainly carbon dioxide emissions that are left after combustion isn't a noxious gas, but is essential for plant life.

" seismic sustainability, accessibility and inclusivity requirements, as well as post-disaster requirements"
The reasons given by city staff for replacing the present buildings are mostly politically correct and nonsensical. Any earthquakes that have happened in the past 65 or so years since the buildings were built, have not damaged them appreciably. Overbuilding them for a possible 8.5 or 9.0 earthquake that may never come, is a waste of money. As for "accessbility" if that means making washrooms available to people in wheelchairs, these can be added as needed. "Inclusivity" is a current fad that probably will not be around in the next few years and shouldn't even be considered when building a new building. Post disaster requirements should be considered using mobile command posts and communications that are not tied to the cell network.

We've always had rats in the Vancouver area because it is a port city, but it seems to have gotten 100x times worse since the flood of immigrants from the third world. Do not people from the third world have the intelligence to be able to take the simplest steps to prevent rats?
