I have hemochromatosis (high blood iron) and have to have phlebotomies every 3 months. I used to donate it but with the closure we have to clog up IV therapy at UHNBC where they just dispose of the unit of blood collected now, such a waste. I think there was more to the closure than travel issues as the clinic ran for years with less modern travel then we have nowadays, I imagine it just freed up monies for much deserved raises and bonuses.
