Now the market correction begins. A couple more interest rate rises by the Bank of Canada will bring prices back to reality. Housing affordability is an issue and there is not one simple solution..

How about changing the zoning bylaws and development bylaws to mandate a certain proportion of housing development be affordable. If you look at the older neighbourhoods, there is a mixture of sizes of houses and semis. Not having this contributes to isolation among people of different backgrounds and affordability.

Totally agree with the Mayor's on this one. It is absolute disgrace in country as rich as Canada that homeless are allowed to languish on the streets. It is disgrace that we do not have more treatment and recovery centres and people are allowed to die on the streets.

What did you expect from a council who has their own agenda and proven over the years they do not listen to facts. There is a small group in the Caroline, Erb, William and Westmount boundaries that seem to have a certain councilors ear and she does not listen to anyome.

What goes up then goes down. Housing prices will fall like a rock when the interest rates go up and there is a fire sale.

The boat house is a money pit for taxpayers and investors alike. The live music venue has always lost money. Return to the boat house and allow boat rentals.
