With the ice surface still wet and fans still making their way through the concourse to their seats Prince George Cougars forward Ilijah Colina wasted no time taking a Vladislav Mikhalchuk pass and tickling the twine just 88 seconds into the game against the Victoria Royals on Saturday night at CN Centre. Colina's fourth goal of the season was the 2019 Teddy and Toque Toss goal and sent hundreds of teddys and toques flying over the glass onto the ice. All of the items collected will be donated to those in need. The Cougars went on to win the game by a score of 4-2 ending the Victoria Royals 10-game unbeaten streak against Prince George that dates back to last season. Ilijah Colina also scored the game winning goal with Nikita Krivokrasov, and Connor Bowie potting goals in the win. Carson Miller and Gary Haden were the goal scorers for the Royals. Taylor Gauthier once again had a big game in net making 32 stops on 34 shots. Attendance for the game was 3395. The Cougars were also wearing special Christmas themed jerseys which will be put up for auction beginning at the end of the game.
