Dr. Dana Parmenter, College of New Caledonia Biology Instructor (white coat in centre), and Trudi Johnson, College of New Caledonia Biology Technician (blue coat in centre), study Sea urchins with first and second year biology students on Saturday at the CNC Biology Department. Sea urchins are being considered for use in the department in future studies involving fertilization and cell development as their embryonic development is similar to humans and the eggs are translucent allowing all stages of growth to be viewed in detail.
