Scene of shooting in Prince George

A 20-year-old man is in hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and another three are in police custody following a shootout inside a residence on the 1700 block of 17th Avenue Thursday, Jan. 6.

RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass, media liaison officer, said three adults were arrested at the scene after police responded to reports of shots fired at around 10 p.m. The suspects remain in custody.

"Although all are known to police, there is no indication that this was a gang-related attack," he said.

The wounded man was taken to University Hospital of Northern B.C with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
