PGSO records virtual performance of children's classic Peter and the Wolf

The Prince George Symphony Orchestra continued their Spring season on Saturday evening recording their production of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. The virtual performance will be available starting on Sunday, May 16th at 2 p.m.

The Russian classic children's fairy tale showcases the personality of each instrument to bring to life the "characters" of the story with each instrument representing a unique character.

The production was narrated by Doug Jones and was dedicated to Jones' best friend and long time co-worker Mike Benny. Benny is the father of local community musician Katherine Benny.

Thanks to the City of Prince George's My PG grant, tickets for this performance are half price and can be purchased by visiting www.pgso.com or calling the box office at (250) 562-0800.
