Hip hop artist Shadrach Kabango known as Shad or Shad K was born in Kenya in 1982 and was raised in London, Ontario.
Shad speaks both French and English and holds a business degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is now studying for his master's in liberal studies part time at Simon Fraser University.
His album The Old Prince won 2008 Rap Recording of the Year Juno award and was also nominated for a Polaris Music Prize.
Shad will be performing during the Coldsnap Festival in Prince George Jan. 27 at the Ramada.
