I sit here shocked and stunned that SD 57 has decided to shut down one of the best schools in the district, John McInnis junior secondary.

As a new resident to Prince George (having moved here recently from Manitoba) naturally, one of the first things on my mind was getting set up in the health-care system. I dutifully registered for B.C. care card, which I have since received.

As speculation rises as to who will replace the publicity-seeking Michaelle Jean when her term as Governor General expires in August, we would like to add our two cents.

I would like to thank George Heppner for his act of kindness on Monday. I had a flat tire and I couldn't get my spare off so he loaned me his. Thank you again P. Blinch Prince George
