O’Grady Road symbolizes care, compassion and love for the Indigenous people and for the Catholic Church’s continued work among, and for, our Indigenous brothers and sisters.

I was told that if I wanted a different family doctor I would need to “fire” my current one, be without a family doctor for one year, and then I could request to be put on a wait list for a new family doctor. This wait list has 5,000 people on it.

Although the card in my wallet states that I hold a “Certificate of Indian Status,” I have been called every pejorative under the sun, including a racist in these very pages, for holding views contrary to the so-called “leadership” of my people.

English has many sounds that are written more than one way, letters that can be pronounced more than one way, and silent letters. Dakelh does not.

Some Prince George residents don’t want to try to learn to say a few new Indigenous words. That’s bizarre considering non-Indigenous people, racist or not, speak so many Indigenous words already, like Canada, Ottawa, and Toronto.

Meat and seafood have always been expensive, but consumers are now paying upwards of 20 per cent more for many of these products.   Without them in my grocery cart, I can get a lot of delicious alternatives for much less money.

Once again, Vancouver prices have dropped over 10 cents since their peaks but here we are still sitting at our peak prices of $2.16.
