Well how about that - up go our taxes again and yet we have some of the worst streets in B.C.

After my last rant about the garbage on our mountain I couldn't believe the new pile of junk I collected again.

One could pore through annals of political thought for many days, I fear, without finding a definition of "democracy" consistent with The Citizen's use of the term in this morning's editorial ("Score one for democracy", May 11).

If you're looking to take our soldiers from helmets to hard-hats you're looking at the world through rose coloured glasses. It worked once when us baby-boomers had to be accommodated in the secondary-industry-world of the Lower Mainland.

The recipe for this week, compliments of Chef Rechsteiner, is a take on one of my favourite sauces to make with my family. Ros sauces are a great way to appease divergent tastes among a group of people looking to enjoy a pasta meal.

After attending the open house for the Northern Supportive Recovery Center and the Haldi community meeting last week I have begun to wonder what is really going on. Many of my neighbours have valid concerns about this facility in our neighbourhood.

The province appears increasingly manic over the HST as the looming June 24 referendum date approaches.

The more information I get, the less convinced l become about the validity of the proposed Northern Recovery Centre for women.

When is the city administration going to move into the 21st century? Years ago when these roads were being built, the largest trucks were about five tons. Today the trucks weigh in excess of 50 tons.
