VICTORIA -- There's no real theme to the column, beyond a general sense of wonder. First, burkas and citizenship.

This is in regards to your news item on the hospital parking meters. Recently, I had two friends in the hospital at the same time, who I was visiting everyday.

The spirit of Christmas is fast approaching and I have received my Christmas gift already. My gift is the ruling on a challenge to the new roadside penalties.

In response to Jody Rhodes, "Doing the right thing" for kids", I take exception to her assertion that the current teacher job action "interferes with (students') rights to quality classroom conditions in the most basic form, a report card".

Please give me a minute to recite a little diddy, it's not to long, about snow in our city. The officials know it's coming, they see the forecast, But why start early let's make the overtime last.

Boy did we (my wife and I)have a good laugh Monday after the snow truck-plow went down our street on the Hart. I guess its too much to ask that they plow more than the top two inches of snow.

While listening to the radio, I heard a discussion about the construction of the proposed Site C Dam. This dam, if constructed, would be the third in a series of dams on the Peace River (along with the Bennett and Peace Canyon Dams).

I'd like to express my concern and inconvenience regarding my 5 hours stay yesterday Thursday November 24th 2011 at the Emergency Department in the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC).

RE: John Rustad is trying to limit unions' rights I'd like to thank Ken Fowler for his letter raising issues about my proposed bill "Workers' Dues Transparency and Rights Act." Unfortunately Mr. Fowler's comments were inaccurate.

Re: Paul Willcocks' Nov.26th column "Failing Children left in poverty." No one wants to see a child living in poverty. It is an issue that affects all of us and belongs to all of us.
