I am writing to thank and applaud the students that were at Monday night's board meeting in support of the LBGTQ anti-discrimination policy being developed by our school district.

The Scottish people have been seeking sovereignty for many centuries without success, but they will soon have another opportunity.

So I've been doing some research for a friend of mine, helping her fight immigration and the deportation of her fiance, and I stumbled upon some unsettling information.

I have had my drivers licence now for 11 years. During that 11 years I have never had an accident that was my fault. That's not to say I haven't seen some crazy things while driving.

As we enter a new year, various magazines publish predictions for the next 12 months. Some will predict the end of the world, major disasters, and the future of the rich and famous.

Predictions of the euro's imminent demise have been swirling around for months but yet it has stubbornly hung on by a shoestring.

With the New Year fresh in our minds, it's always good having a "new " selection of wines to try. All three wines today are just that.
