It's going to be a great few months for political watchers as the U.S. presidential campaign kicks into high gear, with the warmup act being the Sept. 4 election in Quebec called yesterday by Premier Jean Charest.

Disregard pollution and job issues, for the moment. Wonder instead how will Canada maintain its world position and its freedom without ample capital? Family wealth does not come from family members but from neighbours.

Re: Article Wed. July 4th "Secrets of city revealed on walking tours." They say you can never go back but just for a brief moment, the historical walks throughout the downtown allow us to glimpse, and perhaps feel, the past.
