Is it just me or are others concerned as well that the Prince George utilities bill just gets a lot more expensive every year?
I started paying monthly four years ago to ease the burden of the twice a year bill. The monthly bill for 2012 was $57, for 2013 it was $73 (28 per cent increase), for 2014 it was $83 (13.7 per cent increase) and for 2015 it is $94 (12.3 per cent increase). The $94 per month equates to $1,128 per year. This is on top of our municipal taxes (which continue to rise as well).
Where will it stop?
Being on a fixed income makes those continuously high increases more and more difficult to deal with.
Maybe our new mayor could put an end to these unrealistically high increases or he will follow the same path as our previous tax-and-spend mayor.
