When you can actually hear them, Deap Valley has a cool, scuzzy The White Stripes-meets-Joan Jett and the Blackhearts sound. With their minimal stage props and show, they look and sound like a band that would be more comfortable on the stage of a crowded, sweaty dive bar on a Friday night than a huge, empty stage in a stadium.

But I think the world is going to hear a lot more of singer/guitarist Lindsey Troy and drummer/back-up vocalist Julie Edwards soon.
