Athletes from across Canada have come to Prince George to compete in the Canada Winter Games.

To compete and win, they will have to push themselves to the limits of safety and their ability. Flirting with danger is second nature for many of the athletes.

So today's song of the day is Danger Zone, by Kenny Loggins.

Released as a single in 1986, Danger Zone featured prominently on the soundtrack of the hit film Top Gun - starring Tom Cruise as a fighter pilot. The song, about pushing yourself to the limit, was a top-10 hit in its own right.

The song has popped up in popular TV shows and film since 1986, including How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Recreation and the animated comedy Archer - which featured a guest appearance by Loggins singing an "outlaw country" cover of the song with one of the main characters.

For something a little different, Loggins' and Cherlene's duet (sung beautifully by Jessy Lynn Martens) from the Archer episode can be heard here: http://youtu.be/LJ2RmFcxoDs.
