Song of the Day

Did you notice as you go downtown the snow has been completely removed from the sidewalks and streets? There's no windrows, there's no snow piles to walk through to get from street to sidewalk.

Did you notice as you go downtown the snow has been completely removed from the sidewalks and streets? There's no windrows, there's no snow piles to walk through to get from street to sidewalk. It's all in preparation for the Canada Winter Games as thousands of athletes and all those who need to come here to support them descend upon the city of Prince George.

Even though The Citizen has posted maps, and offered information about parking lot and street closures, I'm sure there will still be some shocked people when they venture downtown to take in some of the events - sporting, cultural and entertainment - at the flood of visitors that will be joining residents. Embrace it, Prince George. It's a once-in-a-lifetime event! Let's support the athletes and everyone who is visiting. Enjoy a classic - Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, dedicated to the athletes competing during the Game because we could all use a little Rocky-inspired music to get that competitive edge.
