Why? Why? Why? So long to wait?

In roughly four or five years I was diagnosed with a blockage of the left artery on the neck , it was 80 per cent blood blocked to the brain, causing dizziness ands not enough oxygen and blood flow to function the body. I had every test going: ultrasounds ,cat scans, MRI, but our medical team didn't think that 80 per cent blockage to the brain was severe enough to operate.

I have been struggling to walk for for many years because of this, finally on Feb. 25 at 3:45 p.m., I had what you call a mini stroke at home, and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. I laid in emergency until noon on Friday the 27th and they released me, still did nothing, but some further tests.

I went home and was rushed back in to emergency on March 1, laid in hospital March 2 then they moved me from emergency to surgery north. I was informed at 10 p.m. on March 2 that I passed all the tests for surgery on the morning of March 3rd. They released me for home on March 7, so here I sit at home trying to recover from surgery that should have happened a few years back, but they didn't think that 80 per cent blockage was severe enough to operate.

They in a sense screwed my whole life up by not operating sooner. Hopefully now I can try and walk properly again without walking aids now that I have proper blood flow and oxygen to function properly.
