To the people saying there were empty restaurants, no parking and ticket prices were high during the Canada Winter Games, I thought the hockey tickets were kinda low although the games were aired on TV.
The athletes and coaches were fed at the Civic Centre may be a reason no one went out to eat, plus they all had curfews. Having worked to get venues ready for the 2010 Olympics, also working at Cypress mountain during the Olympics was quite an experience with once in a lifetime events. More happy times were had by all outweighs the negatives. Take it in stride and move on.
