I've lived here my whole life and smelled some pretty serious pollution. I know we're doing everything we can to eliminate ppm, but moving backwards on gases.
I think sulfur and other gases are being elevated. I can't be the only one that smells this in our air, even on a clear windy day. I remembered it was always being stinky but now it burns my nose! I can't be the only one. Is there no one that monitors this for our health and because of that have all the industry's got their pollution release valves set to high?
And the sewage treatment plant at the bottom of Peden. My goodness, you might as well drive through an outhouse in July. I'm sure some of our guests must be thinking that when they are coming into town.
Actually, they definitely do.
Some don't even get out of their car and head back to Quesnel where they have a pulp mill in the middle of town. That never smells as bad. I've got plenty of feedback from out of towners.
We've cleaned up and monitor the fine particulates, now let's clean up the smell a little. It's ridiculous.
