It was interesting to read Neil Godbout's editorial entitled "Math does not add up". The increase in compensation is (as I understand it) to bring UNBC faculty salaries to the salaries of the lowest of our comparator universities and not the average of that grouping. When comparing salaries of administrators and cost of living, why not use the president salaries and cost of living for our comparator universities? Our comparator universities are those in the same Macleans grouping as UNBC.
I encourage the Citizen editor to provide the values so that the readers can make their own conclusions on the matter.
