As the Official Legacy Sponsor of the 2015 Canada Winter Games, we want to offer our thanks and congratulations to all of those who participated in the Games.
When it comes down to it, the Games are all about community. And that's a value we all share - as proud northerners and as part of a company that cares deeply about the future of the north and building a legacy for future generations.
For the Games organizers, we know that many sleepless nights went into planning this amazing athletic competition. Thank you for planning an event that impacted the community in such a large way.
To the community, you participated in ways that no one could have imagined. From the faithful, hard-working volunteers who always offered a friendly smile to those who came out in droves to support the athletes - all of you hosted Canadians in a true Northern fashion. You ensured that visitors know they will have the full support of our community if they choose to host future events in Prince George.
I would also like to congratulate the L'heidli T'enneh as the official First Host Nation of the 2015 Canada Winter Games. The bar for all future national sporting events has been set high. Thank you for sharing your culture and traditions with Canadians.
Everyone's efforts have ensured that the Games' legacy will be felt for years to come in the lives of so many young people who were encouraged be their best in whatever path they choose. You can't put a price on that. And it makes being a Legacy Sponsor just that much more special for me and everyone on our Northern Gateway team.
Congratulations on an amazing event and here's hoping for many more.
