1955 - July 18, 2024
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Bruce Nordin on July 18, 2024.
Bruce was born in Prince George and raised at his family home on Nukko Lake. His childhood was spent enjoying outdoor adventures and the rural lifestyle at the lake with friends and family.
Bruce worked at Husky Oil Refinery in Prince George for many years and made friends there that he kept throughout his entire life. He later attended University of Alberta earning a degree in International Business and worked in the oil industry supply chain for most of his career.
Bruce explored the world and lived his life to the fullest, never missing the opportunity to experience something new. His kindness, curiosity, intelligence, and generosity was a joy to everyone lucky enough to have known him. He loved deep conversations with friends, good wine, fine cuisine and an expertly mixed cocktail. He lived and worked in Canada, Thailand, and Yemen and travelled North and South America, Europe, and Asia on his motorcycle, creating a community of friends around the world who shared his passions and adventurous spirit.
Bruce was pre-deceased by his father Lawrence (2012), sister Laurie (2015) and mother Fay (2021).
He leaves in grief wife Thipawan and family in Thailand, son Colin Nordin, daughter-in-law Kelsey Bonner, grand-daughter Th'à:le, sister Wendy Nordin, brother-in-law Terry O'Neill, nephew Leigh O'Neill (Sydney) and many friends and family members.
Bruce will forever live in our hearts and minds. Until we meet again.
