1948 - 2024
Birgitta was born and raised in Sweden. She married and has four children in Jamaica. She passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the age of 76 years.
Birgitta loved spending time with her children and playing with her grandchildren, laughing out loud, dancing, skiing, visiting the Farmer's Market, supporting local artisans, playing the piano and visiting her family in Sweden. She was a woman of faith and a member of the YMCA.
She is survived by her husband Dereck C. Sale, four children: Joanna, Juliette, Lisa and Gregory, eight grandchildren: Mattias, Cameron, Isabella, Alexander, Joshua, Kate, Julius, Markus, and brothers Lasse and Pelle, who live in Sweden. She was predeceased by her parents Stig and Marianne, and her sister Pia.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Parish.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. in Birgitta's honour.
