A charge of manslaughter has been laid against a woman in relation to a 2018 shooting death.
Martha Joseph, 37, of Yekooche appeared in Prince George provincial court on Monday, the same day she was arrested.
The step follows an investigation that began after Shauna Sam, 39, was found dead from a gunshot wound on June 21, 2018 after RCMP received a report of a shooting at the reserve 75 kilometres northwest of Fort St. James.
Sam hailed from Nak'azdli, just south of Fort St. James.
Joseph was released on $2,000 bail and with an order to appear in Fort St. James provincial court on January 25.
