A man with a history of violence is back in custody.

Colin Michaud Durrand, 29, was apprehended on Monday morning, Prince George RCMP said, when police converged on a home on on Boyd Street, near First Avenue and Ospika Boulevard.

North District RCMP's emergency response team and a police dog team were called in to help with the arrest, but Durrand and a 40-year-old woman were arrested without incident.

Weapons were seized from the home, RCMP also said.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Durrand last week for allegedly breaching the terms of a six-month conditional sentence order - effectively house arrest - issued in August for possessing stolen property over $5,000, breaching probation, three counts of breaching a release order and resisting arrest.

In 2016, Durrand was sentenced to time-served for his involvement in a pair of drug-related assaults.
